This family’s Vista home suffered from a fire caused by a stove fire. It’s always devastating when a family experiences a house fire, but SERVPRO of Escondido worked hard to recover the structure and contents. When there is smoke damage in your home you may be able to smell it but you won't always see it. Our smoke sponges help us to see if there is smoke damage. We wipe the sponge on a wall that has suspected damage and if the sponge turns a darker color then it tells us that there is in fact damage to the walls. As you see in the picture this wall will need to be cleaned. Cleaning soot off of the walls will help alleviate the strong smoke smell as well so they can breathe nice clean air again.

Here we have Tim working our SERVPRO booth at the State Farm convention. Tim is our repairs manager. He gave the agents that peace of mind that their insured will still be taken care of after the water damage is mitigated and the area is prepared for repairs. 

Last week SERVPRO of Escondido represented SERVPRO at a State Farm convention. We got to meet and greet many State Farm agents directing them to the appropriate SERVPRO representative in their area. The agents travel to Irvine from Hawaii to New York and from our local area of Escondido. We discussed water damage from their insured and how to go about it. It was a great day!

All around our office we have posters of motivational words and posters of the importance of excellent service, fairness and respect to everyone. We treat our office staff like family. We want work to be a place of support.

This is a photo of our wall when you first walk into our office. We have all of our owners certificates of completion and license's posted. We are very proud of all of their accomplishments.

In this home the guest bathroom had a leak from a pipe. The leak went unnoticed for some time because the couple that lives here doesn't use this bathroom that often. A containment was put up to remove the wet walls and mold that started to grow. The containment keeps the mold spores from spreading to other areas of the home.

The shower in this Escondido home started leaking a few months back. The homeowner decided to take the problem into their own hands and just soak up the water by themselves. They didn't seek professional help right away. The shower began leaking again into the room next door, this time the homeowner decided to call us. From the time of the first noticed leak to the second one was plenty of time for mold to begin growth. Containment was put up to keep the mold spores from traveling through the house while the walls were cut into. The homeowner was so thankful for the work we did. They wish they would have called sooner.

A leak happened overnight for this business. When we opened up the walls there was mold spores that you could visibly see. We removed the mold, and did the proper testing. The owner said there had been a small leak there previously and that is what probably caused the mold to grow because the business owner did not take care of it the previous time. Since we took care of it, they no longer have to worry!

In this home the sink had been leaking for a long time. The home owner didn't notice until they saw water on the tile on the other side of the bathroom wall. It had been leaking into the cabinets and walls and when we opened up the wall there was mold. We did proper testing and removed the mold along with the wet walls. 

Employees came into work one day to find wet carpet and puddles of water from a flood that happened over night. They called us and we were there ASAP to set up equipment and assess the damage done. The business was so grateful that we were able to get in there and start working so fast. 

Here is a photo of the equipment we needed to dry out a very large manufacturer. Their entire conference room and some offices were flooded, the carpet was soaked. We set up air movers and dehumidifiers for several days. 

A local grocery store in Vista had a pipe break and flood a good amount of the store and back storage area. Here in this photo you can see the containments we put up to protect and air movers placed to dry out the place. This is only a small portion of the larger job we did.

This is a job we did for a local gym that had a flood in the main equipment room. We brought in dehumidifiers to take the moisture out of the air and dry out the place.  

We clean attics too! Soot settles up there and leaves a lingering smell. Our crews get into the attic and clean it up so the home owners can breathe easy again.

Sometimes you can't see smoke/soot but you can smell it. We find smoke on walls by using a smoke sponge to pit up the soot on the walls and then we are able to see if there is soot in that particular area.

These are a few of the Air Scrubbers that we place in homes with fire damage so that the homeowner can breathe again. Smoke sits on walls and you can smell it. It can contribute to breathing problems and irritate the eyes, nose, and throat.

In the Lilac Fire a lot of homes were damaged some by fire and some by smoke or both. This homes fire place had fire and smoke damage to the brick. We have special cleaning products and smoke sponges/cloths that clean this up without damaging the material. 

The heavy rains outside found their way into this home and the walls soaked it up. Always keep an eye out for small open areas near windows and doors where outside weather can sneak in! Patch them up ASAP!

In this home there was a slow leak from a pipe inside of the wall. Luckily the damage was caught before mold had a chance to grow. Kitchens are high caution areas for water damage. 

This Texas home had damage to an entire room from the hurricane. The damage done to these walls was so severe that we had to remove it all. SERVPRO of Escondido was able to come in and get it done quickly so the homeowners could have their home back! 

Another home we worked in had damage on and in most of the walls. Hurricane Harvey caused a lot of water damage to the homes that survived it. It was a sad time for so many people but SERVPRO of Escondido was happy to help in any way we could.

Another Texas home that we worked on had water leak in from the front door and damaged the staircase. The heavy rains from Hurricane Harvey flooded the front rooms of this home. 

SERVPRO traveled from Escondido all the way to Texas to help from the disaster that Hurricane Harvey created. This homes entire kitchen was flooded with water. Our team members removed the affected walls and placed air movers to dry out the wet wood in the walls.

This is one of our large Dehumidifiers drying out a homeowners kitchen. It works by pulling moisture out for deep drying. This machine is what helps us give the customer a quicker and easier dry out process from floods.
